TAG LINE:
Would you take another shot at love? Or just settle on a friend with benefits?

TEASER LINE:
Their heartbreaking past will move you. Their passion will make you blush. Their antics will make you laugh out loud.

BLURB:
Twenty-five-year-old Natalie Davenport lugs substantial baggage. One boyfriend after the next has been a total disaster, leaving Natalie distrustful toward the male population in general. So when Colin Hampton crosses her path, she’s cautious. Her heart (and some other body parts!) nudges her to go for it, while her head wants her to run for the hills. Colin is one of those gorgeous guys who attract women, no matter the age or marital status. With a successful career at a popular Seattle radio station, hard body, and charming personality, he is the complete package. But something dark lurks in the corners of his soul; some murky experience that has changed him—maybe for the better, but maybe for the worse. Will he steal her heart and stomp over it like other guys did? Will she let him into her heavily fortified world despite herself? Or will they settle somewhere in the middle—establishing the emotional boundaries to protect them from falling in love?

INTERVIEW
What is your name (or pen name) and where do you live now?
My new NA series, as well as the upcoming adult books are going to be published under the name of A.O. Peart. I live in the Seattle area, US.
Please tell us about your current release.
The title of my newest/upcoming book is “Almost Matched”, and it is book #1 in the Almost Bad Boys series. This is New Adult contemporary romantic comedy series about four feisty twenty-something women who refuse to let their past drag them down. Each of the books in the series blends humor, sensuality, and angst, with zany characters and witty dialogue. You will laugh out loud while blushing in embarrassment.
Where did you come up with the idea to write your book?
I have been writing mostly in Young Adult paranormal/urban fantasy genre, so this is a big step in a completely different direction for me. I had a few ideas for a contemporary romance in my head, but the one that I chose for the Almost Bad Boys series came to me when I was returning from a book signing in San Francisco this past June. I was so excited about the plot that vividly unfolded in my mind during the flight that I immediately started to take notes. By the time we landed in Seattle, I had a few pages of plot points and possible characters’ bios.
Is anything in your book based on real life experiences or purely all imagination?
Honestly—it’s both, although most of the scenes in Almost Matches are purely fictitious, especially the “sword” fight and the birthday cake scene (*chuckles*).
What was your favourite chapter to write and why?
I didn’t have just one favourite chapter while writing Almost Matched. Most of the chapters came alive in my head and the details unfolded as I wrote. I had a lot of fun with my characters. Writing about them is like being with a group of fun-loving, smart, and caring about one another girlfriends. Each of them has true-to-life flaws, because that’s what makes them real.
What was the hardest part of writing your book?
The very first erotic scene. I have never written intimate scenes in my life, and so it was a challenge at first. But after a few paragraphs my characters simply took lead and put words in my head. My job was just to convey what they wanted to do (*blushes in embarrassment*)
Did you learn anything from writing your book?  What was it?
Yes! I learned a lot, as I have from writing every other book in the past. This one, as I mentioned earlier, is my first attempt into this particular genre, and so I gained a brand new—wonderful—experience in creating this kind of characters and this kind of setting. I’m very excited about this project and I hope most of my readers (if not all) will be too.
Are your books available as eBooks? Were you involved in that process at all? Do you read eBooks or is it paper all the way?
All my books are available in digital form. My YA series are published on Amazon, and soon will be available on Nook, iTunes, and possibly Kobo. Two of them are also offered in paper. All my future books, including the Almost Bad Boys series, will be released as ebooks and, at least, some, if not all, in paper. I’m planning to have them available not only on Amazon, but through other retailers too.
Did you have any say in the title / cover of your book?
Yes, the title of the series, and the title of the first book are my idea.
